About Meet Manager

Meet Manager is a track and field meet management app designed for coaches, officials, and athletes. It allows meet organisers to create and manage athletics competitions — including events, heats, results, relay teams, and school leaderboards — and share live results with admins and viewers in real time.

The app is available on Android, iOS, and web. It is free to download. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains clearly what information we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used.

Information We Collect

Account & Authentication

When you sign in we collect:

You can sign in with Google, Apple, or email and password. We only request the minimum scopes needed (email and name) from Google and Apple.

Meet & Competition Data

When you create or join a meet, data is stored in our cloud database. This includes:

Athlete names are entered manually by the meet organiser. The app does not automatically collect any personal data about athletes beyond what you enter.

Device & Session Data

We store a small amount of data locally on your device, including:

This data never leaves your device unless you are connected to the internet and the app syncs with Firestore.

How We Use Your Information

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.

Sharing & Access Control

Meet Manager uses a code-based sharing system. Meet owners generate short access codes that can be shared with others:

Anyone who enters a valid code can access the associated meet data. It is the meet owner's responsibility to share codes only with intended recipients.

Only the meet owner can regenerate codes. Regenerating codes immediately revokes access for all current admins and viewers.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own commercial purposes.

Third-Party Services

Meet Manager uses the following third-party services to operate:

Google Firebase (Google LLC)

Data stored in Firestore is processed in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

Google Sign-In (Google LLC)

If you choose to sign in with Google, your email address and name are shared with us by Google. We do not receive your Google password. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Apple Sign-In (Apple Inc.)

If you choose to sign in with Apple, Apple may share your email address (or an anonymised relay address) and name with us. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Google Fonts

The app uses Google Fonts for typography. Font files are bundled with the app and are not fetched from Google servers at runtime.

We do not use any analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.

Data Export & Sharing

Meet Manager allows you to export competition results in the following ways:

Once data is exported or shared outside the app, it is outside our control. Please ensure you have permission from relevant parties before sharing athlete result data.

Data Retention & Deletion

Meet data is retained in our database until the meet owner deletes it. Owners can delete a meet at any time from within the app, which permanently removes all associated events, athletes, results, and user access records.

If you would like your account or personal data removed, please contact us at the email address below and we will process your request promptly.

Local cached data on your device can be cleared by uninstalling the app.

Children's Privacy

Meet Manager is intended for use by meet organisers, coaches, and officials who are adults or supervised minors. The app may display the names and results of child athletes as entered by the meet organiser.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Athlete data entered into the app is the responsibility of the meet organiser who created the meet.

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in Google Cloud Firestore, which provides encryption at rest and in transit. Access to meet data is controlled by Firebase Security Rules that enforce role-based permissions.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is completely secure. Please keep your access codes confidential.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
